Invisalign® for teens and kids
Clear aligners aren’t just for adults. Invisalign treatment for teens and Invisalign First for younger children let many patients straighten their teeth with removable aligners instead of fixed braces.
Invisalign for teens
Aligners come out for meals, brushing and special occasions, so there are no food restrictions. Teen aligners can include compliance indicators that show whether they’re being worn enough.
Aligners work only when they’re worn: usually 20 to 22 hours a day. Your orthodontist will talk honestly with you and your teen about whether aligners or braces fit their habits and their bite.
Invisalign First for children
Invisalign First is designed for children who still have a mix of baby and adult teeth, usually around ages 6 to 10. Like other early treatment, it can help develop the arches and make room for incoming teeth. It’s an alternative to some fixed early-treatment appliances for the right cases. When the upper jaw needs widening first, it can be paired with the removable Invisalign Palatal Expander.
Is my child a candidate?
That depends on the bite, the stage of tooth development and how reliably your child will wear aligners. Your free consultation includes an exam and a recommendation, with the options and the full fee before you decide.
